*Provide competative racing events on closed courses and local tracks where the winners receive prizes instead of just racing for fun.
*Continue to be an intervention to illegal street racing
*Continue to educate our community via marketing, media or class room methods to maintain a high level of awareness with the hazards and consequences of Illegal street racing, driving wihout seatbelts and zero tolerance for impaired driving.
*Provide expert consult with other communities interested in becoming "FLAGSTRA" associate members.
*Promote a better understanding between law enforcement and the community.
*Educate the general public about the sport of all types of racing from drag to drift.
*Educate the general public on statistics of Illegal street racing deaths and the legal issues of street racing.
*Promoting staying in school and staying off drugs and alcohol.
Along with our goals to educate the dangers of Illegal Street Racing we will be negotiating pro-drivers to demonstrate drift techniques in the new and very popular dift racing.
Joe, our Public Relations guru is also a professional photographer and will be traveling all over photgraphing events and posting them here...if you keep it on the track, you may be seen here.
Just like other states and organizations, we aim to orchestrate a "special" bond between the local law enforcement and our "track racers". We are going to try to get our local Police dept's, Sherrif dept's and High Way patrol to build their best drag and drift car and compete against "us" at local tracks for bragging rights. Get ready, if this pans out it going to be fun.
This is just an example of what's to come. Be ready.
What it boils down to is SAVING LIVES. With all our efforts to deter or curb illegal street racing along with other dangerous vehicular activities, if one life is saved I feel we have accomplished our mission. Oh but we won't stop there. We're in this for the long haul. I know we won't be liked by all but we will by some.
